– KEXP 90.3 DJ Marco Collins tweets the good news (via Ear Candy) from Sunny Day Real Estate bassist Nate Mendel that the band will soon begin work on its first new studio album since 2000’s The Rising Tide. Preview a new song — currently titled just that — below. For additional road testing, check out the band’s four upcoming scheduled dates, which includes performances at Coachella and Primavera Sound.
