I keep a loose schedule of anniversaries and milestones for bands as best I can. One that I noticed with enough time to think about it and realize it was a big album was “Very Emergency” from The Promise Ring. The follow up to “Nothing Feels Good,” which you’ve now heard more as a book title than an album, was a divisive moment in the scene at the time. The band took a swing with what they were listening to at the time as the masses expected NFG part two.
